I've been working out 6 days a week since I began my weight loss efforts a few weeks back. Mainly I have been walking 2-3 miles a day, but other times I'll incorporate something else so that the total time worked out is 40-45 minutes. Well, silly me overdid it yesterday and now I've really hurt my right foot. It's terribly sore, sore enough that I can't work out today as I normally would.
Is there some other type of exercise I can do that won't put too much strain on my foot while it heals? I would really hate to skip a day without doing at least SOMETHING, especially since Saturday is not my "resting day" for working out.
Spot exercises aren't very effective, are they? I would like to do something to get my heart rate going but obviously my choices must be limited when I'm in this condition. If anyone has any ideas, I would love to hear them. Thank you!!

Is there a community or college pool nearby?
Other than that, you might want to use the healing time to add a weightlifting/resistance routine to your program. Building stong muscles and bones is so very important for women.

Hi Fab. Thanks for the reply. There is a pool nearby but I'm not really a swimmer so I guess that's out for me. That's a great idea for weight work, though. I do a little bit every day but I suppose today I can just make it weights only, even though I was hoping to do some type of cardio.
Thanks again!
