 End of the day...
Author: Elizabeth Ann

I'm comlpetely worn out today. At work I was given three enormous files that were about 5 inches thick a piece...

... I had to sort through each page in each one looking for certain part numbers that corresponded with certain dates. I had about 15 to find.

So... after 4 or 5 hours, I only found about 8. Tomorrow I get to go through the files again (I went through them twice already)

BLECH

Anyway, yeah. Since no one's around at my place I thought I'd tell everyone here. : )

I did good today... lol... I ate a total of 650 calories thanks to the pizza I just had a half an hour ago. Otherwise that number was at about... 0.

*Stess* LOL... I think I'm going to go to bed. : )

Elizabeth Ann,

Remember that the food you eat is what keeps your body and brain functioning. Too little food does more harm than good and can sabatoge your weight loss efforts. On top of that, it can play havoc with your body chemistry. With all that you are going through stress wise, you need enough food to keep yourself healthy, sane and on top of your game. Below 1000 Cal. is not healthy, try to keep some healthy snacks around to help you hit that 1000 cal mark. Think.... cheese sticks, yogurt, nuts, Lee's suggestion of non fat/sugar free instant pudding (calcium)................ After all, you don't want to be bent over with osteoperosis (sp?) by the time you are 40.

Or heck, even smoothie's or Slimfast or some other nutrition shake if she doesn't feel like eating. It would be better than nothing at all.

Yes. My daughter's best friend has anorexia and has to eat nutrition bars (boost) and drink cans of ensure. She was hospitalized for about 2 months and in day treatment for quite a while. Very scary!! She has fallen out of remission once and reentered treatment but has been steady for a few months now. It is easy to take weight loss to far and then you lose control in a different way.

Yes, it's very easy, I've been there. And once you lose that control, it's hard to get it back.

I don't feel like eating when I'm depressed either, but I MAKE myself have SOMETHING. Just because I'm bummed out doesn't mean I want to jeopardize my health.

Good for you. It is good to hear that health is your primary concern, not "skinny". I think the young girls on this board benefit mightily from your wisdom.

Well, I hope so, but I too have been in that boat of wanting nothing but THIN THIN THIN and nothing else. I'm sure glad I've managed to escape that frame of mind.

Hey ladies...

Thanks for replying so much. : ) Sorry I wasn't around all day or I would have posted back.

I did better on my eating today. I haven't totaled it yet, but I think I ate about 1300-1500 calories.

I just have such a hard time even making myself take an aspirin for a headache when I'm stressed, ya know? I just sometimes want to melt into the couch or something, but definately don't want to move.

But yeah, I really appreciate all of the advice both of you have for me. I used to be in the so called "race to be thin" but I really don't feel the urge...

I don't want to be THIN so much as I want to be healthier. I just know that being healthier will come along with my weight loss (but my not eating isn't spawned from wanting to lose weight... it's from being too fed up with things to want to bother)

I'm sure ya'll can relate somehow. : )

Anyway, I'm off to bed. It's been a long work day and I have a test in the morning (yay!)

Night night

Yep, we can relate, hon :)

I know sometimes it's hard to concentrate on things like nutrition when you're really down, but like we suggested, on days you don't feel like eating (and we all have those days) try and at least have some kind of nutrition shake. Or heck, even a regular milkshake would be better than nothing at all :)
