I think I turned the reddest shade or red today. It took me months to where I was comfortable working out if my hubby walked in the room, now he can watch for all I care but today......his mother walked in on me! OMG! I wear the tiniest thing when I exercise so I can move easily and in she walks as soon as I start my leg lift things. Ug!

Don't feel so bad. Just think, she could've walked in when you were just beginning your weight loss journey. You've lost over 40 lbs. Be proud.
It probably wasn't so pretty in the beginning, arms and legs all over the place and everything jiggly. LOL....I only say this because that's where I am at now. :)

Well, perhaps your mother-in-law will be impressed that her son has such a lovely young wife who takes pride in her appearance? Well, no, now that you ask, I don't have a mother-in-law, but I have seen how my mom behaves as a mother-in-law, so . . . . oh, er, nevermind. You have my sympathies.

LOL! She ran out quickly and then I ran over and locked the door behind her so she couldn't come back in. Grr, I even told my hubby not to let anyone in.
My mother in law is strange, she couldn't see anything I do as positive, there is always something to nag about.

You mean you can exercise with your hubby watching? goodness, I can't. I've tried, but it's just too embarrassing for him to see my fat jiggling in all it's glory. If I looked like Denise Austin, I would be exercising naked and wouldn't mind a bit if he watched. (sorry, probably too much info.LOL). Anyhow, I don't like him looking at me period, let alone while I'm jumping around. Got any advice on how to get over it?

The funny thing is that in order to get over it I did just what you said......naked right in front of him. After that it was a piece of cake =)

Anne, you are the mother of your husband's children. If you can go through nine months of pregancy, with complications (and then the "joy" of childbirth) to produce his heirs, you can darn well parade around the house doing what you want and wearing what you want.
Has he ever said anything about how he feels about seeing you exercise? He probably admires you for it. You could lying on the couch in front of the TV instead of exercising...I'll bet he's proud of what you're doing.
Give yourself a break! At 157, you can't be jiggling all that much anyway. : )

To tell you the truth the hesitation is totally on my part. Last night, he read Donna's post and my response. He waggled his eyebrows at me and pretty much dared me to do it. He said to not be surprised if I didn't get much exercising done. LOL Of course, he said I looked fabulous at 185 even though it was 60 lbs. more than I was 3 years ago. What a guy. I'm definintely learning to appreciate a guy like that, but I don't know that it has convinced me to exercise naked. Maybe someday. :)
