Why are egg whites better for you? If I eat the entire egg, will it add too much unwanted calories? Just curious :-)

Here's the break down...
1 egg white, 16 calories, 3 grams of protein
1 large whole egg, 77 calories, 5g of fat, 1g carbs, 6g protein.
OK, then I also found this information for FRESH eggs...mind you I am NOT advertising for them...I wanted to find out the 'skinny' on eggs and the differences...

The egg whites are pure high quality protein. There is hardly anything better as far as protein goes. Much of the nutrients of an egg are in the yolk, but also is a LOT of cholesterol. The yolk does contain the fat as well as additional protein. Some people have to watch their cholesterol intake beacuse what they consume goes into their blood stream on top of what their body already manufacturers. High blood cholesterol is considered a risk for heart disease.

Just an add on... EVERYONE should watch their cholesterol... not just those who already have high cholesterol. Its a lot easier to nip a problem in the bud than to get rid of it later. Plus, studies have shown that people who have a high cholesterol diet, even if their blood cholesterol is normal, are still at a greater risk for heart disease.
