I got the book and it's awesome. I haven't tried any receipes yet, but it's really motivating and educational too. Eating for Life is a cookbook by Bill Phillips, author of Body for Life.
Here is a quote:
Myth: You need to have a certain type of genetics to lose weight.
Fact: Everyone has the right genetics to be in great shape.
"I'm often asked, "Do I need to have a certain kind of genetics to get in great shape?" My answer is. "Yes! You do need to have a certain kind of genetics-the kind of genetics human beings have!" You see, the Eating for Lifestyle produces predictible results in virtually every healthy adult. Recent scientific discoveries in gene mapping show that you and I are 99 percent identical in terms of our genetic fingerprint. And while certainly that 1 percent difference is conspicuous (different height, hair color, eye color, etc.), that does not mean that each person responds to completely different to proper nutrition and regular exercise. As you can clearly see in the success stories beginning on page 345, that 1 percent difference makes each of our bodies look unique both before and after. However, you can also clearly see evidence of our "99 percent similarity" in the way we have each transformed ourselves".
Before and after pictures are included with the book, but you can also see them at www.bodyforlife.com and www.eatingforlife.com

I have it too, just for some easy ideas. I like the fact it seems to be made for non-chefs such as myself with only a few basic ingredients. The only recipe I have not liked so far, is the italian turkey burgers on page 186. A Tbsp. of italian seasoning is wwwaaaayyyy too much for this recipe, and the texture of the burger was really kind of disturbing. lol. But the ground white turkey was very good in the sloppy joes.

Thanks for the heads up on that receipe. You know that's probably the only one that just didn't even look too good to me. lol I'm doing the grilled salmon from page 84 tonight. I'm anxious to try some of the desserts, since that seems to be my weakness right now.
I love to cook and that's part of my problem. I think this book will work for those that are experienced cooks and those that aren't.

I made the grilled salmon from page 84 last night and it was yummy. I forgot how much I like spinach. I did use about 1/2 a table spoon of olive oil to saute it in and that was not called for in the receipe, but I didn't have the butter spray that the receipe did call for. The whole meal only took about 20 minutes to make which is a big PLUS. What cut down on the time was doing the potatos in the microwave and I have a Forman. Tonight it's going to be the seared ahi (tuna) with pico de gallo and brown rice. So far so good on my eating and exercising and I'm considering going back to BFL full force.
