Here's a recipe that's lo fat and lo cal.. and you can add different flavoring to change the taste. :-)
Meringue Cookies
1/2c sugar(or Splenda)
3 egg whites,at room temp
1/4c choc chips(optional)
Adjust oven racks to lower third of oven.Preheat to 350*.Line cookie sheets with waxed paper.In a bowl melt choc chips in microwave.
In another bowl beat egg whites till slightly stiff,adding sugar while beating.When stiff and shiny add melted choc. (or 1tsp any flavoring)(I like lemon,orange,and choc.)
Fold in the flavoring or choc carefully.Drop by teaspoonfuls onto lined cookie sheets.Bake for 7-10 minutes or till slightly hardened.Cool on sheets and remove once cooled.Do not underbake,these are a crunchy cookie.
Note-if you use Splenda and a flavoring these cookies hardly have any calories and no fat! Hope ya'll like em as much as me!!
