Hello.
Derrick said earlier that long distance runners have thin, frail legs and sprinters have more muscular legs. Why is that, and is it true?? Because I recently have started a running prgram where I run for 1 mile and am trying to lose 25 pounds (especially on the legs) hehe

I don't know if it is true for everyone... but once I started running daily (mixed with starving myself silly- bad in retrospect), my legs have gotten much much much skinnier.
This is a problem for me in such that I have a big upper body with large shoulders... and now I am getting chickenish.
I think in general running a lot will help you lose weight in your legs... however- everything that people claim about losing fat in specific places says otherwise.
But... there is no way it can hurt, and you might start to find running fun and relaxing like I do now!
