I'm catching up! When last we compared notes I was 131 miles behind you.
I did 51.9 miles Sunday at 12 mph (the first 27 miles were at 13.5 but then I started wimping out.
I'm now at 635. You were at 535 a few days ago...you've probably ridden since.
I got a new bike (used but new to me) I have been riding a Hybrid bike, a 2002 Specialized Expedition I picked up for $50. It's a nice bike, and I love it, but I've been thinking I could go a lot faster with a more road type bike.
But I'm not comfortable in the tucked position, so I bought a 2003 Specialized Sirrus. It's awesome, and I putted some last night, but I'll put a bike computer on it tonight and see what I can do.

jan 2002 --198 lbs/ down to 160 lbs
start losing weight again July 19th 2004
168 lbs/ 157 lbs / 145 lbs
inches lost from may 5th to-oct 2nd 2004=15.5in

Wow, you are doing great! I hear you on the bike, I bought a new city bike this year, Trek. I love it, but when I ride with my dad who has a road bike, he always seems to be faster than me. But I also hate being bent over the bike.
Did my longest mileage (in one day) of the year yesterday. Rode 14 miles in the morning and another 19 last night. My total is 768 right now.
