hey all,
Today was my weigh in day and I weighed 289, but I also had a Dr's appoinment today and when they weighed me there it said I weighed 290. Now, I know that there isn't a lot of difference in between 289 and 290, but it means something to me. With 289 that means that I've lost 4 pounds. With 290 I would have only lost 3 pounds.
I don't go to the Dr's very often, and I only weigh myself once a week now, and that's on Monday's. So what should I go by? The Dr's or mine?
Thanks all!!

I would go with your scale - because most likely - you are weighing in the morning with close to nothing on - and the dr's scale you have clothes on and it's later in the day.
Well, that's what I do anyway. One thing I love about my dr - is that she has a body fat scale - so we not only track my weight - we track body fat - so the weeks, the scale doesn't show any loss - the body fat scale helps me know that I am on the right track.
In two weeks - my body fat went down 5% and the scale only changed 2 lbs - thanks to the yard work I have been doing. Before the yard work - I lost about 6 lbs and the body fat only dropped a 1/2 % - do if your dr has a body fat scale - I say track that....good luck.
And you are right - 1 lb is 1 lb!

I always go by my scales at home. They are digital and I tested them the other day to see if they were accurate by putting 2, 3 lb. weights on it...right on the money, 6lbs. I usually weigh 5-7 lbs. more at the dr's. office but I also don't know how often they have their scales calibrated for accuracy. JMHO!

Just so long as you go by the same scale consistantly, That's what counts. If you lose four pounds by your scale and you started on your scale, you lost four lbs. Congratulations Rose! I would assume that if you used your Doc's scale in the beginning you would have weighed 294 in the beginning.
