I thought maybe you could answer this question for me--
I remember hearing here that when you exercise your muscles alot that you may retain a little water weight. Is that true? Not only was my weekend high in sodium, but I walked for three full days, too. AND I AM SORE!
My scale weighs me 5 pounds heavier than I weighed on thursday morning. I thought maybe there was more to that then my sodium intake. What do you think?

It seems to be true for me. I do not know if it is water weight in general or swelling but weight lifting seems to have this effect much more than aerobic exercise.
It is normal for me to weigh 5 pounds more in the afternoon than first thing in the morning too.
There are so many variables and unknowns I do not worry a lot about sudden changes of up to 5 pounds. The best thing to do is wait 3-5 days and see what happens.

I'm not really worrie because I know there's no way all that weight can be fat. I just will be drinking some extra water and I'll see what happens.
Well, considering how "sedentary" I am, maybe my muscles got a lot more from all my walking that they were ready for.
Still, we'll see. Thanks for the input.
