Donna? oh, Dooooooonnna! Are you out there? Didn't see you on today and was wondering how you're doing with your meds and stuff. Hope you're doing okay.

My meds are driving me crazy! Either that or my allergies or my anxiety about taking the medication. I am so lightheaded and dizzy today it's crazy......I think it's ragweed season so i'm figuring it's that but then knowing i'm taking this med and the fact that i'm allergic to about every med out there is making me very anxious. Only 2 1/2 more days on it, thank goodness!

Thanks for asking Anne, I appreciate it =)

I also just downloaded a jigsaw puzzle thing for the computer (over 35 puzzles) and am so addicted....I can't stop. It's good for 10 days before you have to purchase it so i'm determined to get them all done =)))

YES Donna it is Ragweed season!!! But when I read about you being allergic to just about everything! Yikes I`m the same way...

I used to take the pollinex for ragweed until the last shot of it (half dose only) send me to the hospital with half my troath slowly closing which meant a adrenaline shot...
I`m also in the 5% group...Let me explain... I tried a new non-drowsy med for allergies that I had not tried before (last year) and that meant that for 955 it was non- drowsy...NOT for me, knock me out cold for 12 hrs...
I take claritin non-drowsy at 7am and find myself going for days without being able to fall asleep until because the claritin by itself wasn`t cutting it by nightime and I had to take benadryl which knowcks me out!!! It`s like taking uppers and downers!!!!
When we were on our honeymoon travelling thru the country side with windows opened I ended up having a severe case of hay fever, my doc told me to take Seldane non-drowsy...3 days later Hubby took me back to the dr because I was so out of it and the dr says" She is over medicating " and hubby responds "What do you mean she is over medicating? She only took the one pill 3 days ago!!!! Can`t have aspirin, penicillin or any anti-inflamatory either...Those also gave a nice stay at the hospital...
Needless to say I`m gratefull for a loving hubby because he certainly would have easy access to murder weapons!!!!! LOL

Sorry this was soooo long just had to share...On the bright side of things...I feel much better and don`t need meds too often and also have learned to stick with what works and forget about trying new stuff...G

Wow, it's like I posted that. Seriously, I spent 15 minutes with my doctor last week just telling him what i'm allergic to and what effect each had on me. I am the opposite with any allergy pill with a decongestant (sp), I get extremely hyper which means panic attacks and I could so use a decongestant, it sucks. Even cough syrups like Robitussen do it. I also can't take the cillins or anti inflamitory pills. 6 years ago my body decided it wanted to be allergic to advil and I puffed up like a blowfish after having taken Advil for at least 8 years prior with no problems. Then 3 years ago my decided again to mess with me and now i'm allergic to Cipro...the only one remaining thing I had for my allergies.

I once had a doctor put me on Seldane D. He gave me a sample box and told me to take one right away when I got home. On the way home I read the paper inside, you know, the drug interactions and side effects insert. Well it seems that if you are taking (can't spell it) E-meycin or Biaxin you will die taking the Seldane with it. Guess what I was taking at the time...yup. I even told my doctor I was taking it and he gave it to me anyway. So I decided to test my pharmacist with my knowledge =) I called and asked if I could take the 2 together and she said "no way" and explained why. I moved away from that pharmacy about 5 years ago but to this day it's the only one I will call with any questions because I trust them so much after that.

I honestly could go on for hours about this but I have to go out. Thanks for sharing your stories, I'm happy the know i'm not the only one.
