Well, no surprise, I've injured my foot. I think it's because I'm not used to the rollerblading. I've been taking it easy for a few days -- no running or blading or anything.... until it's better. Still, it's HIGHLY annoying.... to top it off, I went on a wee sugar binge this weekend -- don't worry, it's not a bad thing.... I'm testing a theory. I decided to see "HOW" sensitive I am to sugar. I'm writing down how I feel and how my body is reacting to it -- temperature, skin, hair, digestive system -- everything. I only wish I had a way to test my blood, but I"ll leave that to the doc. So far as I can ascertain, the sugar is leaving me feeling really tired and I feel like I"m on fire. I don't get the 'buzz' that other people get while on sugar -- no high so to speak. I just wind up feeling like I haven't slept in like 20 hours, utterly exhausted. All this from a soda and a few donuts (two chocolate donuts specifically). Again, to be sure, I'll have to wait for what the doc says, but I"m guessing that my main problem is sugar. Either a sensitivity or similar. My poor grandma was diagnosed with diabetes without having shown any visible symptoms, so I know it's in the family. I hope it's not diabetes and just a sensitivity; again, we'll see. See my theory is that I'm so sensitive to sugar (whatever that means) that it's throwing my internal systems completely out of whack altogether, thus stalling my weight loss more so than the average person. I mentioned this to my doc and she didn't disagree; only insisted that I get bloodwork, so I know that she suspects something.
Still, tomorrow it's back to healthy eating and lots o' water and hopefully some exercise -- we'll see how my foot feels.
Ok...it's midnight here and I'm babbling (exhausted hehe). Thanks for listening to me rant.
Cheers all!

for some odd reason, reading your post about your sugar experiment reminded me of a program I saw on tv a while back about spiders. One 'scientist' in the 1800s decided to see just how poisonous black widows were and would let them bite him then journal how he felt as the venom spread through his body... If I remember correctly, he tried this a few times, increasing the number of spiders each time. He eventually discovered the amount of bites that were lethal - to him at least.
This of course has NOTHING to do with your test but you might want to be careful how much testing you do on yourself.
Good luck and stay away from those spiders :-)

Funny you picked spiders.... I'm completely arachnaphobic!! I tried to overcome it last year -- I went into a pet store and asked to hold a tarantula. I stood there with this massive bug in my hand; I had hot flashes, nausea, blurred vision, dizziness, my heart was going a mile a minute.... but then after about 45 seconds, when the spider didn't bite me it all suddenly washed away and I was left marvelling at the intricities of the little creatures. All the colours, the individual hairs.... I felt surprisingly calm.
Ok, so now I can easily handle little spiders but I"m still kinda afraid of the big ones. Still, that particular experiment kinda worked :P
Thanks for the input :))
