O.k. so I lost weight once before but it was only about 35 pounds and over 15 years ago. And the way I did it was to hardly eat anything and exercise like crazy.
So now I'm older and gain weight even easier than before. I swear I can eat a cracker before bedtime and the scale will say I've gained a pound the next day, mostly because of the salt on the cracker! But to loose a pound takes so much I hardly believe it's possible for me to ever see my goal weight again. I need to loose 60 pounds at least and it's overwhelming to me.
Anyone else ever feel this way yet overcome it to get to their goal? Thanks for listening guys! :-)

I started out last May with 75 more pounds to lose (I'd lost some a couple years earlier), and if I thought about that number, I would get really depressed, so I completely understand. What worked for me was setting small goals. At first, I just set a goal of reaching 5 pounds loss per month, and concentrated on each 5 pounds. Once I'd lost about 20 pounds, I started to think I could do it, and my outlook improved. I've set other small goals along the way, and I'm now at 9.5 pounds away from goal. Maybe that would work for you too.

Thank you. This does help. Little by little soon adds up to a lot,..sometimes in a good way with loosing weight,..and sometimes in a bad way with gaining weight.
:-) But it's true either way. One day at a time. One pound at a time.
Thanks
