The last bathing suit I bought was at least 5years ago because frankly they don`t make bathing suits that perform miracles!!! and the last bathing suit I bought was the first one that actually fit not necessary the good looking one...And although I new that most of them wouldn`t fit I brought bating suits in a change room with me a few weeks ago and built up the nerves to tried them on....I was right none really fit right but hey it was a step in the right direction so, full of comfidance I came home that day and put my old bathing suit on to find out that the suit I thought was size 18 was actually a size 20w and no way could I wear it anymore, not only was it getting big but after so long it was breaking down!!! So after spending a few hot days watching other people swim in my pool, I went out today and tried some bathing suits , then walked out without one because they didn`t have the bigger size for me to compare with, I really liked one of them though so my husband talked me into going and trying it one more time and I brought my friend along with me, when I asked her if she tought it fitted o.k. because they didn`t have the next size up, she was flabbergasted and asked me why I wanted the bigger size when the one I had on was fitting perfectly the way it was suppose too for a bathing suit, not too tight, not too loose , I am proud to say that I bought a size 14 tankini today, spagetthi straps and all and also did something else I never do when company is over, where a bathing suit and go swimming with my company instead of watching them from the deck!!! As I looked in the mirror with the suit on, I realised how many inches I`ve lost but didn`t figure out before because of all the bigger ,loser clothing I`ve gotten used to wearing....Often we fall in a visual trap, we wear the same kind clothes because we view them as the clothes that fit even if they hide all the hard work we `ve done.....My eyes were opened today and when I walked out with my new bathing suit on, my husband eyes opened widder!!! Sorry this was so long but I had to share....fattybutt

If you fit into a size 14 bathing suit, you must have really been floating in your old (and slowly "decomposing"...lol) 20W! It's a hard job - trying to find a bathing suit - but I see that your efforts were well-rewarded. So, congratulations on overcoming your fear of bathing-suit shopping, the obvious drop in size, and finding a bathing suit that you really seem to love. Have fun with it (especially since, with continued weight loss, you'll probably be not using this pair next summer).
