We all know that I smoke. Thats why my goal is so low, so I can quit and have room for an expected gain. My question is this, as I mentioned before when I did my cardio today I started huffing and puffing before I started sweating so I tuned it down a bit and didn't put an extra step in what I did. By the time I started sweating I only had about 3 songs left 1 being the cool down. I didn't sweat as much as usual but got through 55 minutes on my 70 minute tape (I fast forwarded through the crunches). Even though I didn't do my best does this really count as exercise? Should I do something more later or throughout the day? I must mention that smoking was not the only problem today, my allergies were insane and I couldn't breath through my nose well.

i don't want to put a damper on this topic,BUT, my sister age 32 just started a gym routinue. one year ago she weighed 140 at 5"1. is got down to 120 in a year. she wanted to go lower so she started a gym routinue and started getting short of breathe and dizzy 2 days in a row. so she went to the doctor and found out she has early stages of enfazima(SP?). from her smoking for the last 15 years and working in a bar. it is reverseable and she is now 7 wks free and still losing weight. so she was still able to lose weight and quit smoking at the same time, and if you ever experience anything out of the ordinary, see a doctor.
