Hi I am looking for support and people to talk to, but no one seems to post on the same thread twice!! Or very rarely, what does a girl have to do besides start a new one EVERYDAY?? Just curious.

Hey, i can talk to. i am at work right now. so if i don't reply to anything quick enough, i am sorry.
i am 30, single, have a 7 year old son, and i am 222 pounds. the heaviest i have ever been. my goal is to be 165 lbs. by new years day. In January, my fiance and i plan on getting married. i moved our date up to January from September because of my weight. i hope and pray i can do it. i would hate to have my wedding dress be a size 16 and i look like a fat hog on my wedding day. that is not what my wedding day is suppose to be like.

Good to know!! I am 22 and a stay at home mom. I am trying to lose, and keep off, 30lbs. They say if you yo-yo diet (go up between 10lbs or down often) you are more likely for kidney stones, so I am expecting them someday :( !! I am currently at 165lbs and need to get down to 130-135lbs. I know it's obtainable, just hard work. I am a military spouse so we move a lot and I turned to food instead of working out when I got stressed ,or out of my element - which is why I would lose then gain, then lose, then gain.....
I have decided the cycle stops here!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SO what type of plan are you on? Do you belong to a gym, or do you workout at home??

Tab I understand what you mean about wanting to look good for your wedding day. I have a wedding coming up in sept where I am a bridesmaid and would seriously like to lose 16lbs by then (as that is a healthy goal). What type of plan are you doing? Congrats on your engagement as well, and remember your fiance loves you no matter your weight, so that is one thing that should bring a smile to your face !

I know how you feel Tab. Although I didn't have a formal wedding, I did wear a dress and it was a size 28. We had a reception the next day, pictures were taken that I still can't bring myself to look at much. I regret so much that I didn't try to lose weight before that day. Wouldn't you know that after my wedding I lost 100lbs. Gained 1/2 of that back and here I am at it again. Good luck to you.

Oh, i know that feeling to. last year, i was a bridesmaid (first time ever to any wedding, must less being a bridesmaid). the brides family and other friends are so perfect and petite, never ever had a problem with weight loss. so there i was, 215 lbs. and amongst 110-130 size people. i looked just like a giant. and to boot, we had to have our dresses be hand made by a lady in the brides community. each day for two weeks, we all had to go to her house and get measured, let out, seamed up, stitched in front of everyone, no one seemed to have a problem, except for me, i was so embarrassed. my chest made three of all the other girls. so i know what you are feeling. but, you know what, we can do, and we can look back on this day, with a smile

Tab I hope so! I hate being immortalized in someone's wedding books and not being able to be like 'Hey I lost a lot of weight, can you put this one in place of the old me?? " lol My mom said that all the women in the bridal party have larger dress sizes than me (which surprised me!)- but it's what I see, not others. As I am sure you and everyone on here knows. I would actually be happy with my arms having a little bit more definition (it's a halter dress) if nothing else, as my lower body will be hidden! Do you have that mommy pouch too?? I was just curious. I have a 2yr old my self :)

Jessica, sound like you live in heaven. That's really nice. I live in a town of 20,000 in the SF Bay Area, CA. Although it sounds big compared to a real small town, it's nice because there is only one high school and Jr. High, so most folks know everybody else.

For me, staying under weight in Vegas would be easy. I'd be hard pressed to leave the machines and when I did I would have lost all of my money so that I couldn't afford to get something to eat. Wow, that's one heck of a diet idea. Too bad it's so expensive :-P Have fun in Vegas. I hear the new show done in water is amazing.(can't remember it's name)

Ok, I am FROM Pennsylvania...but am currently in the Azores, Portugal - how about that?! So I am not able to get on more than twice a day as it costs us alot of money :( My goal weight is 130lbs or lower...I am currently 165lbs. I haven't gone to the gym yet cause we are watching G.I. Jane - I SO would have done that. You should have seen me in basic, always getting shafted for "being one of the guys" in FTX....jackasses!! Oh well, I am no longer active duty, if I go back in I am going commissioned baby oh yah!! So I need some college first.
Eric- wow I feel special, you posted here five times ;) Hope you have a great time in vegas!
Jessica- Don't worry I know what a handful kids can be! I'll look forward to those recipes though thank you.
Rose- I like N.C. I use to be stationed there for a bit while I was reserves (after active duty).
Sorry if I forgot anything- I'm not sure if I can review past posts without losing my current one! Hope you are all doing well and fitting in your exercise See you tomorrow! (I am four hours ahead of east coast time)
