Do you feel that if you looked differently, you would be treated differently?
In what ways do you think your appearance affects the way you are treated?
There is no pleasure in life equal to that of the conquest of a vicious habit.

Yes I do think people judge you or act differently by how you look. It is so sad, but true. I even find myself doing the same. I think that if you are fit, and dressed decently, you are treated with more respect. Versus someone that is overweight and maybe wearing t-shirt and sweets. I often think that when/if I lose weight, I'll present myself better. I've got about 15 lbs. to go. So I'll let you know. But yes, you are treated differently based on your appearance...

I 100% agree with that. I do believe that you are treated differently when you look differently, more presentable...and by presentable i mean "thin", and packaged nicely. The more apealing to the eye...the more eager they will be to help and or talk to you. I am overweight now, but i wasnt always...and i can remember talking to people for the sake of talking to them, instead of being talked about for the way that I now look.

Hi,
Yeah, I definitely feel that I would be treated differently. I don't think it would be because I would act differently, though. Even though I am a big girl, I still have a decent figure, and I get alot of physical attention from guys, that I don't like. I know from experience that I get more when I am at a healthy weight. This scares me, and makes me want to "hide behind my fat." I have never had a time in my life where I was a healthy weight, and didn't end up getting sexually assaulted. I always did everything I could to not put myself in dangerous situations, but I guess that was just my luck. In order to not let these fears of how people (especially men) will treat me, I have to make sure I look at the health benefits of losing weight.
