Hello
Well, I've been stuck at this plateau after losing 45 pounds and took lots of advice including eating smaller meals 5-6 times a day, exercising DAILY one hour vs. the 30 minutes (Taebo) before and weighed in today after close to two weeks. NOTHING. I am highly disappointed and am about to throw in the towel. I want to lose 10 more pounds but I am at the point now where maybe I can't lose it. Can someone help me before I throw in the towel?????
Thanks
Ms. Taebo

Hi Ya,
I thought i had hit a plateau, but it turned out that I was 2 lbs belowe my ideal weight (this came to light when a university sports dept professional measured my body fat, and found me to be at 20% fat -- pretty good for 47 -- and said that I had muscle enough to weigh 135 lbs as my ideal...I am 133 lbs. Since you said you want to lose another 10 lbs, I am curious to know how tall you are, and how much you weight now. Is it possible that you have already reached a good weight for you?? If not, then the best thing to do, evidently, is to totally shake things up...do different cardio at a different time of day, adopt a different weight routine (if you weight train), and eat a little more fat calories in your diet if you have been on a low fat diet. That's how I dropped from about 136 lbs down to my present 133 lbs (I had stuck fast for 2 weeks.) Dunno if this helps, but i do know how frustrating it is to lose nothing at all!@! Cheers, Dee

Did you measure yourself and take note of how many inches you`ve lost instead? I`ve said it this before, take a look in the mirror and notice how you look not what the scale says once you get close to your goal....At one time (long long long time ago) I weigh 128 lbs and was between a size 7-8 yet had no muscles to speak off so I know that I will more then likely not ever be 128lbs again it doesn`t mean I will never be a size 7-9. Hey if I get to that size and look good wearing it the heck with the scale !! Don`t throw away all your hard work I think at this point you should be easing into a maintenace mode instead of stressing yourself. Maybe you should do what Dee did and get your measurements done professionally. She was surprise to find out that she was actually at her goal....Leanbutt

Losing 45 pounds is amazing! You must look wonderful! But if you want to lose 10 more pounds then don't give up! When you were in the middle of losing that 45 you must have felt this way at least once. But look how far you got by not giving up! My advice to this is to talk to a trainer or a gym staff member about how to overcome this. Thats what they are there for and they will know the healthiest answer. Good luck, and remember how far you have gotten!
