 Dinner with a cardiologist

Hubby and I had dinner with a friend/client, who also happens to be a cardiologist, at a nice restaurant last night. I saved last night for my cheat meal so I ate really bad stuff, that HE ordered for me! LOL...........for an appetizer we had fried crab fingers, baked shrimp in olive oil with garlic, then greek salad with rolls. For dinner I had grilled fish with lumps of blue crab drizzled with olive oil and shallots and a baked potato with butter and sour cream. This is all bad enough but he is a big dessert fan so while I was in the ladies room he ordered me a piece of chocolate caramel brownie cake with vanilla ice cream on top!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SIGH.............I have to say it was sooooooooooo scrumptious! I didn't eat all of my dessert, just half of it. Of course I was curious as to what he would eat since he is a cardiologist, so I paid close attention. He ate some of the fried crab fingers, but wanted hubby and I to have the shrimp. He ordered the same fish that I did BUT he ordered green beans instead of potato. I would have been impressed with this, BUT they were cooked with butter. He did order coconut cream pie for dessert. I asked why he was trying to make me eat everything and he said "Well you told me it was your cheat night so I thought I would make it worth every bite"..............LOL!!! He said that he follows some of the Atkins principles but not as strict. He also doesn't eat the bacon and all the high fat things like that. Well, this is long enough, I just thought it was interesting to see what a cardiologist eats. I guess overall he ate pretty healthy.

Smiles, Renee :)

That sounds interesting,I always wonder things like that, what do dr's do when their kids are sick, who do lawyers call when they're in a jam,and what does a heart dr eat for dinner. I guess I'm just nosy,so thanks for sharing, made me smile.
