I need your support, I weigh more than I ever have and I am tired
of family and friends telling me I have gained weight. I have
a mirror, I realize my weight gain and I'm not happy with it. I currently
weigh 172, my goal is 135. My frame is small and I am 5'4 1/2". I
am chunky and unhappy! Please help!

Liz,
There are several recent posts from the new people here where we answered. I think the best advice I can give is write a food diary for the first week. Then you can look at what you eat and figure how many calories you are taking in. Take small steps cause small steps will lead to large victories :)

Just 10 weeks ago I was 172 too, also 5'4.... once you are determinated to lose weight you will!!! Never doubt your abilty to achive your goal... if I can do it so can YOU. Take small steps and one thing at the time :)

I just found this sight and I think I'm releaved to know that there is some place to go and chsat with other people with a wieght problem. I am 61 and I wiegh 140 and should be at 110. This is so hard and the pounds just hang on. I walk everyother day for 3 miles and I can do it in 43 minutes but then I get depressed and eat everything I shouldn't.
Any help would be greatly appriciated.
