 Deciding what to wear

I have a question, especially for the ladies here. Do you ever have days where you just cannot find a single thing you own that you think looks good on you? I'm having one of those moments right now. I'm in college, and my boyfriend's still in high school, so I only get to see him on the weekends since my home is an hour away from school. I didn't get to see him last weekend, and I'm so happy that I get to see him tomorrow, but I cannot find anything to wear that I don't think I look like a cow in. I usually think that I look pretty okay, even if I am overweight, but ever so often I just have these days. I mean, I've spent the last 2 hours trying on clothes and I have no idea what I'm going to wear. Maybe it's just because I'm a teenager. Aren't teenagers supposed to be unbalanced? Oh well, I'm sure I'll wake up in the morning, put something on, and think I look fine. I was just wondering if anyone else went through this also. Thanks for putting up with my teen angst.

Let's see...let me think back to when I was a teen.

I think you'll look just great in the turtle neck shirt, mini-skirt, fringe vest, and white go-go boots with the zipper in the back. And for accessories, how about your mod watch, granny glasses, love beads and mood ring--you will look so groovy!

Too cute Fab! Actually Speaking for myself, I basically can drive myself nuts when I`m chosing clothes....If that time of the month is coming and I`m bloated whatch out clothes are flying everywhere!!! I am very picky and since I don`t have a mirror for a full view anywhere in the house, I will go thru the routine of putting an outfit on, go to the bathroom and stand on a step stool(if the stool is missing I perch myself on the side of the bathtub!) and take a look, if love handles are showing(how could they not) I change outfit, and since I don`y have that much selection, I end up wearing one I`m not totally happy with but by then I`ve run out of time and have no choice but to get going.....I`m 39 yrs old so I can`t use the teenage factor as an excuse ! The thing is that your boyfriend will be happy to see you and you are in the process of losing weight so he will notice how good you look...Don`t do like this old foggy and drive yourself nuts! Go have fun...G

Do you own anything tailored? Well-made clothes that follow the contour of the body without clinging are the best, no matter what size you are. I had an overweight friend who always looked better than most thin people because she wore really well-cut clothes that hung well. If you don't have anything like that, it's worthwhile to invest in at least one outfit for special occasions.

Have a good time with the boyfriend.

Teen angst? Guess what--it never goes away, especially when you're dressing for people you care about. I agree with the other posters, if you're feeling insecure, go with something tailored, with neat lines. Have a great weekend!

What no fringe and white boots? I guess I'm going to have to toss out my whole wardrobe. Oh! I forgot I'm going to have to do that anyway aren't I!
