Just wondering, for those of you who count calories, do you have a strategy for spreading out your calories during the day?
With my 1700 cal daily goal, I usually eat around 800 cal during the day and save the rest for the evening. What do you do?

I eat every 2 to 3 hours and before dinner have consumed about 600 - 700 calories. Then the rest is for dinner. I've been staying at 1200 to 1300 cals per day.

I usually have around 450 calories during the day and use the rest for the evening. I tend to snack at night and at least I have the calories to spare! I try to stay around 1200 for the day.

I split my daily calorie allotment in half and eat the first half for breakfast and the second half for dinner. I skip lunch.

It's the total number of calories that you eat every day that is important, not necessarily when you eat them. I try to eat before I exercise so I'll have energy, and I usually exercise twice a day, therefore I eat twice a day. I can't eat 4-6 tiny little meals, that would just drive me insane. On weekends I often save up all my calories for one brunch type meal.

Now that I am maintaining my weight I average about 2300 calories/day. More on weekends, less on weekdays.
On a typical weekday I eat about 350 - 400 calories for breakfast, about 1000 for lunch, a couple of apples in the afternoon for about 250 calories and then about 350 calories for dinner.

I have to spread mine out
I have hypoglycemia and i tend to get low blood sugars if i don't eat often enough so i tend to eat smaller meals about every 3-4 hrs.
Right now i am eating 2000 cals a day... I usually do breakfast and lunch about 500 cals.... supper about 600 cals and 2 snacks at 150-200 cals
but lately i seem to be managing to eat only 1800 so i'm thinking of dropping my limit to that and doing 400 for breakfast and 500 for supper
