I am so sorry to keep bothering every one but can any one please tell me the correct time of day to weigh myself? I get so discouraged because in the evenings it shows me as 176 Lbs but in the morning I am at 171 Lbs. Which is right? If it truly is 176 Lbs then I am doing something very wrong. I have been watching my calorie intake and exercising as much as I can (over 1 hour per day, every day) for the past 3 weeks. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

i hope you have the weekends off to rest!....and dont apolagise to bother us, we all bother each other thats how we lose weight...we all ask questions without them there would be no board....anyway in the morning after a trip to bathroom is said to be the most accurate (so 171 pounds)...when we start eating/doing things/drinking our weight always rises a bit during the day....the morning is your true reading.

I believe that the morning weigh in is your true weight. Why bother to weigh yourself at night other than to torture yourself?

just a note about weighing later in the day or even in the morning after drinking, my doctor told me every 8oz of water equals 1lb.

Yep, in the morning after using the restroom and before putting anything in your stomach. Later in the day isn't your actual weight, it's your weight and the weight of what's in your system. So, jump on the scale while your stomach and bladder are empty, it'll make you happier that way too!

1 litre of water = 1 kg (water has a density of 1.0 mass/volume)
1 litre = 32 oz
1 kg = 2.2 lbs
So, 1lb would be 14.5 oz of water (just under two glasses). Or, 8 oz of water is just over 0.5 lbs - while it is in the body.
Your doctor must have missed a few math classes there ;-)
