I guess it is time to confess my sins! For the past 2 weeks I have been doing just plain rotten with my eating habits!!!!!!!! I went to lunch just now and had the buffet. I ate fried okra, a piece of fried chicken, rice & a piece of meatloaf. Oh and don't let me forget the roll!! I had sweetened tea too!
I have been totally stressed for the past few weeks and even though I have been telling myself that I'm not using food to comfort me, I just had a wake up call and a reality check all at the same time. I have gained back 6 lbs in 2 weeks! Whaaaaaaaaaaaa! I can't believe this!!! I am so mad at myself!!! I thought the scales were lying when they said I had gained 4 back, but now they say 6 so it gave me a big jolt to realize that I have worked SOOOOO hard to lose those 6 lbs and now I am gonna have to work even harder to get rid of them...............
Sorry, just had to confess to ya'll because I have been lying to myself for too long now................feels better to let it out!!
Thanks for listening!
Smiles, Renee :)

Don't let the food control you...YOU control the food.
Buffet? I don't even know the last time I was in a place like that. I wouldn't be able to trust myself.

Well, I live in a small town and there aren't many choices here........I don't usually go out for lunch but a friend invited me and I wanted to see her. I actually did good with portion control, I just didn't make very good decisions today. When I go there I usually get the salad bar, but today all of the bad stuff was screaming at me to eat it!!!!!! My stressful state of mind took over and the sensible side was off wondering around somewhere (it has been doing that alot lately!!)...........
You are right though, I have to control the food! Grrrrrrrrrrrr..............I'll get back to it!!!!! I promise myself I will!

Sometimes these "slip ups" are valuable learning tools on the road to a healthy lifestyle. The food that you selected may not have been the best choice, BUT your choice to face the music (the scale), and decide to get back with the program WAS the correct response.
Isn't that the way "thin" people live? They have an occasional big meal, celebration, or buffet, but they eat well and exercise most of the time? Count this as a practice session for maintenance and stop beating yourself over the head. Learn and move on.
