Hi I'm new to this site but I have already found it encouraging. I have lost 3o lbs since last march. It has been a hard strugggle. This Christmas I totally blew my diet. I feel so discouraged. I have gained back 10lbs and feel so disguisting.

Don't be upset with yourself! During the holidays food is in your face 24/7 and if your relatives are like mine - not indulging at all is taken as a personal insult. You have done an amazing thing in losing 30 pounds - and I bet some of that 10 you gained back is just water weight and will come off alot quicker and easier than you think! It's a new year and a fresh start.
Maybe try focusing on a goal related to weight loss but perhaps more motivating! I just signed myself up to run a 5k race on April 5th - I consider myself "in training" right now :)

I have done the scarsdale diet many times to lose those few extra pounds. Its a very easy diet to do. I usually lose like 6 lbs. in a week. You will gain back a few here or there but to keep most of it off I just watch what I eat very closely because I don't want to ruin the work I just did.

Thanks for the encouraging words. I think that you are correct. Its just the inital freak out when you discover that you bad habit of eating all the goodies did some damage. It was like a car crash you know that you shouldn't look but then you do.
I have since revamped my diet and wrokout, plus started a food journal.

Thanks Christy for the encouraging words. After watching Oprah yesturday I have takena new approach to my wiehgt loss program. Changed a few things , I hope works. Good luck to you and your training. Keep me posted.
