Hello all,
I am a student and I can't really afford much in the way of workout equipment, is there any one piece of equipment that you really think I should get?

Yeah my school does have a gym but because I am not living in residence, the charge you for the membership. Besides I was looking for something that I could get and do at home, when I don't have time to get to the gym!

Alot of people here...go out and just walk. I do my walking inside my house since I have 5 kids. Maybe you can take the time to walk around the block. Like they said...walking is good for you and it is cheap...no equipment needed.

maybe a good video which usually cost 10 dollars might work. Also try maybe going to the library and look in there for some videos. Or like petitelady said go for a walk or run.

I agree with Petitelady!!! Buy yourself a pair of great walking shoes. In college I walked to and from school. I also walked all over campus (Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, California) during school. Our library had lots of stairs and I used to always study on the top floor and I never took the elevator. I was also quite the party girl so I would go dancing every weekend. One thing I used to do for myself every quarter was to take a fun class for my sanity. I always chose something that would benefit my body like ballet, jazz, weighlifting or other fun PE classes. Good luck and have fun in college. Those were the best times of my life. :-)

A jump rope. Alternate jumping for 50 - 200 jumps with floor exercises, a light weight lifting. Try to jump for a total of 15 - 30 minutes. I got my jump rope for $2.99 at Target.
