Wow---when I first starting posting here I weighed 178---I lost weight and got down to like 155--then slowly I have let myself reach 165 again. I'm not doing it anymore---I can't. You know what the weird thing is--when I weighed 155 I couldn't really tell I had lost much weight--I think I had it in my head that I wasn't really as big as I had been--but now that I have been gaining weight back--I can totally tell and I not even as big as I USED to be. Anyways tomorrow I'm ready--one change a week. I'm already cutting out cokes--I've done that for a year so now I'm going to cut out chips.....is that a reachable goal? What do you all think? I really need your all support--and I will try to give some as well...:)

Annie; Mark Twain said "You cannot depend on your eyes when your imagination is out of focas."
Mayby it was necessary to gain some weight back to refocas your eye. Now you know that it does make a difference and you're ready to get back to work.
Go for it! Ditch the chips and go on from there.

You know, ditching the chips is a great idea for the long run, but I wouldn't cut them of of your lifestyle completely. They are obviously something that you enjoy eating. I don't think it would hurt you to eat them (in small amounts) like, once every month or once every two months. That way you don;t feel like you are depriving yourself of one of your favorite snacks. I found a new kind of chip, since I am a sucker for chips too, and they are baked. One bag has only 130 calories, and 1.5 grams of fat. I think that is a great snack! I eat it with my subway veggie wrap often. But, yeah, I htink limiting fattening food items is the best bet.
And now that you have gained some of the weight that you lost back, I think you are starting to see how much progress you really made, and in some ways, it's a good thing. At least you know you can do it:)

Just be sure to make changes you can live with. If you're not counting calories, I would start even if you only do it for a few weeks.

Boy Annie, can I relate to you!

I have gone all the way back up to 267 at one point (yeah that's a confession) and now I am trying again. I made big changes that I can keep and that should result in losing a lb. a week without additional excercise or "diet" changes. But I'm hoping to improve those areas too and we'll see what happens.

Eric

I intend to live forever.....So far so good!

272/ /188 1.5 lbs. this week. I dare not say till the cast comes off
