About your breakfast ?......of course any progress is good and the fact that you've come down from 4-5 eggs to 2, and 6-7 sausages to 2 is fantastic! But if you really want to do better, I would get rid of the sausage all together and add fruit instead! Although I know that would be hard to do. I love sausage too! you are doing good none the less! Keep it up! :)

.....also, consider using "Eggbeaters" they are 99% real eggs but with the bad stuff taken out, and if you just have to have some sausages, consider trying the vegetarian ones, it might take a few times to get used to any taste change, but the reduction in fat and calories is worth it !
.....just an idea :-)

Also, Catt, just remember weight loss is calories in versus calories out. The breakfast you had does not sound completely out of line, but there are ways to reduce the calories in it. Eggbeaters is an option and I would probably cut out the sausage all together. Make sure you are eating whole weat bread. It has to say WHOLE. Mrs. Barids makes a good one and it's 70 cals a slice.
The calories you are able to consume now will go down as you lose weight, know what I mean? For me, right now I can eat up to 1400 cals per day with working out as much as I am, but once I get to around 116, I think it is, I will have to drop down to 1350 cals or so in order to still lose one pound per week.
If that breakfast you had still keeps you within your range for the day, then I wouldn't worry about it, not even the sausage. It sounds like you already made an adjustment downward. Just be prepared to do it again when the time comes.
Your doing a great job!

Catt,
It's certainly a good start...but do you have a fried breakfast every day? You're doing great by cutting down the portions. Once you get that under control, your next step should be swapping out every-other-day with some cereal (or oatmeal) and fruit instead of the sausage. And when you have breakfast meat, try something with less fat (like ham or the items suggested above).
For breakfast I usually have some fruit and follow that with 1/2 cup Fiber One mixed with 1/2 cup of Honeynut Cheerios, with a large serving of skimmed milk. With all the fiber (very necessary) it usually holds me over until my mid-morning snack.
You're certainly heading in the right direction by tweeking your portion sizes and making lower-fat/calorie substitutions. Making small, manageable, comfortable steps in the "healthy" direction will mean success in the end.

ack, I had answered this where she asked it.
To recap..you took in around 600.
If you want sausage, get turkey sausage, cuts a good 100 calories out.
Definately add a piece of fruit.
Try egg beaters.
Or check the ROTD :)

I often have 3 egg whites with 1/4 cup low fat cheese which equals out to about 150 calories. I find it very filling and long lasting. I know with this breakfast I can have a yogurt or fruit too, or in a couple of hours if I am hungry again. Just an idea for you!
