I really really need to lose about 75 pounds by July. I am so scared that it's not physically possible, unless I just don't eat, lol. Does anyone think this is possible? If so, what do you think I could do?

It depends on how much you weigh right now. If you are really obese, it might be possible to lose that much weight in a short time. However, if you are little to moderately overweight, it will be difficult. The bottom line is - the less you weigh, the fewer calories your body burns, and the harder it is to lose weight. The last few pounds are always the hardest to lose.
By the way, not eating is not the way to lose weight... If you eat way too little, your body thinks it is starving, and slows down the metabolism to the point that it burns very very few calories... and the weight does not come off. That's why a healthy way to lose weight is to lose it slowly. If the weight comes off gradually, your body has time to adjust to its new size, and you are more likely to permanently keep the weight off.

Eat 6 times a day, drink nothing but water before and after U eat, cut out all fried and processed foods, eat in moderation and of course exercise. My favorite exercise is the free gym (outside). Right now is the best time to start because U have to kind of layer yourself to sweat. This is how U will lose at least 50lbs. by May. First U have to shop for food and I'm not saying buy fat free or taste free food do your regular shopping just add more fruits for snacks and fruit salads, add more veggies for the vitamins and nutrients. (By the way I'm a professional Pastry Chef and still is attending school for my AAS degree in the Culinary Arts). Eat lean meats such as chicken and fish. I dont always check this site because today 2-9-02 was my first peek, but if U want some tips or even recipes I'll be more than happy to give U some. Right now my buddy and me are getting ready for the summer and we use the free gym. Three years ago I discovered the free gym and walked every day for 5 months and lost 46lbs.. Yes,I did gained most back but I know what to do and this time I'm going to keep it off. So startoday. Because 75lbs. is nothing. Just keep telling your self that and you wiil see. One more thing if U get down and want to eat or discourage just walk. Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Sara,
I am a certified fitness consultant with over 20 years experience. I specialize in individual/group fitness training, nutrition supplement recommendations (www.bodywise.com/reggie), weight management, and several other fitness categories.
I hope that this type of urgency will continue to propel you to stay motivated to lose weight, but in a healthy manner. More than half the people who drastically reduce their weight using quick, fast, and in a hurry methods gain not only the lost but sometimes twice as much back.
Don't be continually fooled by the quick fixes. The short lived success only leads to more internal problems. I believe with the number of years and hands on training environments that I have been blessed to be a part of, lifestyle changes and education should be the cornerstone of our fitness lives.
If you desire to commit to a lifestyle change, I will be more than glad to help assist you in your quest.
IN CHRIST WE CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH HIM WHO STRENGTHENS US
REGGIE
