 About Some Of These Magazines

Hey!
I bought a fitness magazine just yesterday, and was reading it today and I came across the pages where it shows you visually how to do the exercises, such as yoga. It had different exercises that worked different areas of the body. But I am a little confused. I am convinced that most of those magazines are geared towards adults. Not really 14 and 15 year olds. But I still don't quite understand, are the exercises that they show you, are they suiotable for teenagers to persue? Would it work, I don['t want to have adult muscles if I am only 14 years old. Do you see what I am trying to say? So sorry I am having difficultys explaining my problem. I am worried that if I did do the exercises that theyu show in the magazines, I would either get adult sized muscles or nothig would happen at all. I don't know which of the two is worse, but I hope neither of them are going to happen.
Appreciate you time!
Amy
p.s.
What are the best house exercise films to do at your home. I mean, what are the best vidoes to do to burn fat!!
Thanks again!

solution : dont do them
But u wont get adult muscles anyway...yoga doesnt build muscle....even if u put on muscle size from weights they wont be out of proportion to ur body...u will put on what u tell it to...u dont just get super sized that takes years of dedication (and hell!).
Best exercise films? Try none!! free cardio workouts all around u....run/jog/swim etc etc etc...people watch too much tv anyway get out and enjoy the outdoors

As a teenager, I followed the exercises prescribed by magazines all the time - and when I kept at it, some of them do work. I do not think there is much of a difference as to what adult or pre-adult exercise routines should be - exercise is exercise, and the important thing is that you do it.

As for yoga - its supposed to give you a long lean look, improve your balance flexibility, and maybe (not significantly, in most cases) lose some weight. It also does something for the psyche - calms you down and what not. I think its really a bit dangerous to learn yoga without a qualified instructor who can guide you to do the positionings correctly. Afterall, photos are only two dimensional and the printed instructions are often vague.

For video tapes - I agree with GM about utilizing the outdoors. But, I also appreciate the value of videotapes - i.e., when you can only exercise after dark (and its dangerous to be out by yourself), you really do not feel like looking half decent to exercise, or the weather outside is just unfriendly. I like Denise Austin's tapes a lot, mainly because I like Denise Austin - LOL. She's very motivational and not too peppy like some other personalities. I also like Billy Blank's Tae Bo tapes. Amazon.com provides user reviews for the tapes they sell, and you might find these helpful (you do not necessarily have to buy from them, of course).
