Hey,
This is Cora. I have a couple of questions. I am really excited because I just lost 4 pounds, and I am pretty happy, but I think that it might be water weight. At least it is going towards some kind of weight loss, lookin on the bright side of things.
But, when you lose weight, does it make you look taller, and can weight loss make you look totally different? It is very difficult to describe my problem. You see, I have always been "chunky" looking. Even when I didn't weight that much. I really really want to have a lean, thin look. Not just a smaller chunky me. But even with weight training, I am afraid that it might not work. Do you think that if I combined a small amount of weight training and a lot of cardio, I would get a thinner, leaner look??? Because I am tired of looking chunky, no matter at whatever weight I am at.
If you understand my prob., could you please please help me out :)
thanks,
Cora T.

ofcourse u would get a leaner thinner look....when u lose weight it can make u look a little taller, because ur not so rounded i presume....dont stress over it, add the weights to cardio, eat well within a calorie deficit, drink lots of water and u will be leaner and thinner....theres no magic involved

It's really hard to predict how one will end up looking after a significant weight loss and a major change in body composition (less fat, more muscle). Being that, it's totally senseless to "worry" about whether a lifestyle change will work achieve the preconceived image of how you want to look in the end since nobody will really know for sure.
It's sounding like you want some sort of assurance that things will turn out the way you want it to be before you place your total faith and effort into the change. I'm sorry, but like most things in life, the only way to find out is to try.
Of course, it's logical to think that one would look leaner and taller - by how much would be, of course, determined by your genes. We all cannot look like runway models no matter how we try. We can only be the best of what we are.
